No, not bunny tails. These are better: A walk-on role in "The Playboy Club" and a $5,000 Bloomingdale's shopping spree.
This Thursday, "The Playboy Club" co-stars Laura Benanti, Naturi Naughton and Wes Ramsey will take a break from filming the upcoming NBC series here in Chicago to unveil specially designed displays in Bloomingdale's Walton Street windows. Why in the Walton Street windows instead of on 900 N. Michigan Ave.? Because the Walton Street windows are just a block from the original Playboy Club that inspired the series.
Inside Bloomingdales, guests can experience an augmented "reality," take pictures with "virtual stars" from the shows and enter for a chance to win prizes including the walk-on role and the Bloomingdale's shopping spree. Guests will be served Bunny inspired desserts. They also can peruse a collage of archival photos from the original Playboy Club and stills from the set of "The Playboy Club."
I've been on that set, people. It's fabulous.
The event is part of Fashion's Night Out, which is happening all over the city on Thursday. It runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bloomingdale's, 900 N. Michigan Ave.
In the series, which premieres at 9 p.m. Sept. 19 on NBC, Benanti plays the singing Bunny Carol-Lynne, Naughton plays Bunny Brenda and Ramsey plays a bartender named Max. He does not wear a bunny outfit.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
