The Hottest Geek Guys of Winter 2013 Edition

Matt Ryd is a singer/songwriter/producer/geek/all-around-nice-guy who has been working his way up the music scene. Since he started pursuing music just four years ago, he's released 4 albums, had songs placed on various TV shows (including "Scrubs", MTV's "Made", and Oxygen's "Braxton Family Values"), toured across the entire country, and made a ton of friends while doing so. He keeps his "frands" (portmanteau of "friend" and "fan" because he still feels weird saying he has fans) entertained with geeky blog/Twitter posts about Star Trek, and the occasional 8-Bit or Casiocore remix of a song. A year ago, he launched a production company, RydMedia, Inc., and alternates his time between releasing his own music, and producing records for both local and national artists. You can check out his music at and look up RydMedia at His favorite "Star Wars" is "Empire Strikes Back", favorite Star Trek series is "The Next Generation" (although he thinks "Deep Space 9" had a better storyline and character development), and favorite Doctor is David Tennant.
