2003 Chicago Fire

Strong showings from rookie Damani Ralph and vets Chris Armas and Damarcus Beasley led the Fire to finish the season as MLS Eastern Conference Champions while also winning the honor of becoming the first MLS team to win both the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and the MLS Supporters Shield in the same season. Unfortunately, the Fire couldn't pull off the big win in the championship game, losing 4-2 to the San Jose Earthquakes.
