'Strike Back: Origins' preview: Richard Armitage strips

That's right, members of the Armitage Army, your hero Richard Armitage strips in the latest episode of "Strike Back: Origins." But he doesn't fight naked.

But that's not important to any of you, is it? You want to know where this story is going. (Sorry, no shirtless pics here; you'll have to watch the episode.)

In the third episode of six, debuting at 9 p.m. CT Nov. 8 on Cinemax, John Porter (Richard Armitage) goes undercover in Africa at the command of Hugh Collinson (Andrew Lincoln), who is becoming even more slippery than in previous episodes. He tells Porter that if things don't work out, he's basically on his own.

Thanks boss. Even Section 20 yes gal Layla Thompson (Jodhi May) disagrees with her boss on this one, as you can see in the clip below.

In Africa, Porter poses as a notorious diamond buyer to track down assassin Felix Masuku (Shaun Parkes), who has a surprising back story that leads Porter to doubt his mission. As you can see in the exclusive preview above, Porter is set up to get arrested and thrown into the prison where Masuku is being held.

You may recognize Parkes from his roles as cameraman A.J. Poulain in ABC's "The River" or Solomon Ogbai in Starz' "Da Vinci's Demons." David Harewood, who played the late David Estes in "Homeland," guest stars as Colonel Tshuma.

Series creator Daniel Percival directed the episode that was written by Jed Mercurio and Alan Whiting.

"Strike Back" Origins" is the original, six-episode British series which has become Cinemax's "Strike Back" starring Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton.
