Fred Armisen may be debating whether to exit "Saturday Night Live," but he's not leaving Portland any time soon. IFC has renewed "Portlandia" for a fourth and fifth season.

The network made the announcement Wednesday, saying the comedy series from Armisen and Carrie Brownstein (of Sleater Kinney) will premiere the new 10-episode seasons in early 2014 and early 2015, respectively. In the show, they lovingly mock the hipsters and other residents of Portland, Ore.

"Portlandia has celebrated sustainable local agriculture, underemployment, avian crafting, gender politics, intense bicycle messengers and so much more," said Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of IFC. "We can now celebrate two more seasons."

Over the first three seasons of the show, Armisen and Brownstein have populated "Portlandia" with such guest stars as Kyle MacLachlan, Chloë Sevigny, Jeff Goldblum, Kumail Nanjiani, Roseanne Barr, Rose Byrne, Patton Oswalt, Steve Buscemi, Heather Graham, Aubrey Plaza, Martina Navratilova and George Wendt, among many others.

Every viewer has a favorite characters/sketches from the show, whether they are eco-conscious couple Peter and Nance; put-a-bird-on-it (or pickle that) Bryce and Lisa; Doug and Claire, who went on a now famous "Battlestar Galactica" binge, or my personal faves, feminist bookstores owners Toni and Candace.

Speaking of great "Portlandia" sketches, check out five favorites below.

Stars Armisen and Brownstein, and director Jonathan Krisel created and write the Emmy-nominated, Peabody and WGA Award-winning series. It is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and produced by Broadway Video.
