( Chicago Tribune file photo / September 12, 2012 ) No win over the Packers topped the emotional pitch of the game at Lambeau Field six days after the death of Walter Payton. The Bears were mired in a 10-game losing streak to the Packers and were clutching a 14-13 lead late in the fourth. Brett Favre set up the Packers for a 28-yard field goal with 7 seconds remaining, only to watch Bears defensive tackle Bryan Robinson block the kick. Robinson later suggested Payton had given him a boost. "I can't jump that high," he said. --Jack M Silverstein |
