Just a few hours after Lollapalooza three-day passes went on sale (and sold out in less than 20 minutes), reports of ads on the Red and Blue Line hinting at headliners for the 2012 fest started trickling in.
Ads at the Logan Square Blue Line station feature lyrics, according to Wine & Pop, that hint at four possible performers: Die Antwoord, Justice, The Weeknd and Jack White.
Below are photos of the four CTA ads, seen at the Fullerton Red Line station by reader Anthony Casanova (@anthcasanova) on Twitter:
The same ads have started popping up on websites including RedEye, TimeOut Chicago and Do312, such as this one hinting at an appearance by Bloc Party at the fest:
Here's another one spotted by @Wineandpop on TimeOut Chicago, referencing an M83 song:
More website ads (and now CTA ads) also include the lyric "These girls fall like dominos," which could hint to an appearance by either The Big Pink or Nicki Minaj.
New crop of CTA ads! Here are two spotted by @jschu83 at the Clark/Lake Blue Line station that reference a Twin Shadow song ("You're my favorite daydream") and lyrics from Kimbra ("Won't you settle down with me?"):
And here's another ad seen on Do312 hinting at a lineup spot for Santigold:
RedEye reporter @mickswasko also caught another that said "You can feel it all around yourself" (a tease to a Washed Out song).
