The Lolla lineup is set to be officially released in less than 48 hours, but an allegedly leaked internal memo may have already spelled it out.
The poorly photo copied picture making its rounds confirms most of the acts that have been hinted on the CTA for weeks--Jack White, Bloc Party and The Weeknd among them. If it's to be believed, August will also bring the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys and Black Sabbath to Grant Park.
Sure, this isn't the first purported leak of the lineup. In February, an anonymous Chicagoan caught the attention of Lolla organizer Perry Farrell when he began posting a now debunked list of headliners and other acts.
Also near the top of the bill are Florence + The Machine, At The Drive In, Passion Pit, the Shins and Sigur Ros. There's few surprises, outside of the fact that, if true, the big headliners lack the usual hip-hop or rap option of years past like Eminem or Kanye. Acts near the bottom of the list that you've most likely never heard of include Helena, Imaginary Cities, Chancellor Warhol and Red Oblivion.
The most recent leak also spells out acts that will be playing Perry's Stage, which this year will be spread throughout different locations at the fest. Bassnectar, NERO and Kaskade made that list.
Real or fake, there won't be debate for too much longer. The official list--straight from the organizers at C3--goes online at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday. Check back then at redeyechicago.com for all the details.
