Lindsay Lohan doc series premieres March 9 on OWN

OWN has released this image from its upcoming docu-series called "Lindsay," which follows the tabloid-headline machine as she tries to stay sober and resurrect her career.

Says OWN of the series, which will bow March 9:

"In this honest, no-holds-barred account, viewers will see an intimate, unflinching look into the life of one of the world's most sought-after celebrities. Cameras follow Lindsay as she returns to New York, reunites with friends and family, and attempts to build a new life. As she works to stay on track amid the demands (and pitfalls) of fame, she opens up as never before, discussing everything from her emotional recovery process to her exhausting run-ins with the paparazzi.

"In the series premiere, equipped with a new personal assistant and sober coach, Lindsay moves into a New York hotel and begins the challenging search for a new apartment, while career pressures build."

The eight-episode series was taped in August, presumably after the 27-year-old Lohan served a 90-day, court-ordered stay in rehab. According to reports from the Television Critics Association winter tour, OWN showed a preview of the series in which Oprah Winfrey was called to New York to give Lohan "her truth" after that sober coach answer "um, you know" when asked if Lohan has remained sober.

The train wreck begins at 9 p.m. March 9 on OWN.
