El Rey Network released the first official trailer for "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series."
The supernatural crime saga based on the cult classic film premieres at 8 p.m. March 11 on Robert Rodriguez's new cable network. The series will get its world premiere at SXSW 2014, which runs from March 7-16 in Austin, Texas, where the show is being filmed.
The 10-episode first season reintroduces bank robbing brothers Seth (D.J. Cotrona) and Richard "Richie" Gecko (Zane Holtz), who were played in the film by played by George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino, respectively. As you can see in the trailer, Seth is the calmer of the two while Richie has the more explosive personality.
After the brothers leave several dead during a bank heist, the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Don Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia) being the manhunt to bring them to justice. Seth and Richie take former pastor Jacob Fuller (Robert Patrick) and his family hostage and take off for Mexico.
That's when the fangs are bared, as the brothers and their hostages run afoul of Santanico Pandemonium (Eiza Gonzalez) and her vampire pals at a strip club where lap dances are more deadly than sexy. Salma Hayek famously played Santanico in the 1996 film.
Adrianne Palicki plays Vanessa Styles, a woman from Seth's past. Lane Garrison stars as Pete, the clerk at Benny's World of Liquor which the Gecko brothers take over in the pilot. Jake Busey portrays Professor Aiden Tanner, an eccentric intellectual obsessed with the Mesoamerican mythology behind the vampires.

"From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" is El Rey Network's first original production. Rodriguez, who is directing the first, second and fourth episodes, is executive producing with Carlos Coto, who also serves as showrunner. FactoryMade Ventures and El Rey Network co-founders John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa also exec produce. Diego Gutierrez is writer and co-executive producer.
