Vegas

The drama "Vegas" was inspired by the true story of former Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb (Dennis Quaid, left), a rancher tasked with bringing order to 1960s Las Vegas as it begins its rise as a gambling and entertainment mecca. Lamb finds himself repeatedly clashing with Vincent Savino (Michael Chiklis, right), a ruthless Chicago gangster who plans to make Vegas his own. "Vegas" debuts at 9 p.m. Sept. 25 on CBS. CBS said Sunday that Sarah Jones ("Alcatraz") will join the show as a series regular in the second episode of the freshman series. Jones will play Mia Rizzo, the smart daughter of one of Chicago's most powerful men, who works in a casino's "count room," running a scam designed to funnel cash back to Chicago.
