Spencer Lokken, 34, of round-robin DJ trio Orchard Lounge, residents at Smart Bar (7:30 p.m. Sat. at PlayStation stage)

Neighborhood: Logan Square
Sound: “Electronic funk. From down-tempo to house and everything in between. We try to appeal to people with more of a discerning ear.”
What to expect: “We’re going to try to show a bit of range. Our tag line is ‘from the dance floor to the couch.’ We only have an hour to work with but we also have this wonderful luxury of being able to play right at sunset. I believe we’re the last act to play on the PlayStation stage before Avicii goes on the main stage across the field. It’s definitely going to be electronic music but we’re going to try a little bit of range where we’ll probably start off a little bit more mellow and ambient and then work in some more four-on-the-floor, dance floor-centric beats. We don’t have a ton of time to work with. We really thrive when we have six or seven or eight hours or more to really experiment and play different kinds of records. When we have just one we’re going to try and run the gamut and see what kind of momentum we can create over the course of 60 minutes.”
Past Lolla experience: “I think Kanye was a huge one for us. For whatever reason we kind of got up close and personal during that show. Some of the technical issues he was having, it was fun to see him in that setting.”
What Lolla artists would make him star-struck: “Anthony Kiedis, if I was able to get backstage and kick it with the Chili Peppers I think that would be a privilege and an honor. You mention Twin Shadow, I was actually kind of bummed that we’re playing during his set. I’ve seen him once before and I think he’s one of the most talented musicians on the lineup. We’ve also got friends like Kid Color and Zebo and other local acts who I’m sure you’ve probably spoken with that we’re excited to just hang out and take this all in together. Santigold I’ve seen a few times; I really like Santigold. I like the Weeknd. I saw him for the first time at Coachella. I think he’s going to get a lot of new fans in Chicago for people who aren’t already familiar with his sound, and I have a feeling he’s probably honed his skills with the live performance. Sigur Ros, of course, and then I’m interested to see what Jack White will do because I’m in love with his new record as well.
