'Rags to Riches'

Before there was "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" there was "Rags to Riches," an NBC musical comedy that lasted all of one season and featured six singing and dancing orphans adopted by a rich playboy businessman. Frankly it was bait for "Annie" fans -- that and a showcase for Tisha Campbell's chops post-"Little Shop of Horrors" fame. She and the other girls would burst into song when the plot needed to be pushed forward or a feeling needed to be expressed.
