Blue lights for autism awareness
The Mackinac Bridge is bathed in blue lights, Sunday evening, as seen from Mackinaw City. The bridge has been lit in blue lights for the month of April as part of a nationwide autism awareness campaign that includes bathing the White House and the Empire State Building in blue. Autism affects people's ability to communicate and socialize. More than 50,000 people in Michigan have autism, including about 16,000 children.
