PNC Bank branch inside York Road supermarket robbed

A man who implied that he had a gun robbed the PNC Bank inside the Giant supermarket in the 6300 block of York Road on Thursday, Jan. 26, according to a Baltimore County police report.

At 2:15 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, a man passed a note to the teller implying that he had a gun. The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of money, but did not use GPS or a dye pack because the man threatened to shoot the teller, the police report said.

The man was last seen running from the store in an unknown direction.

Police spokeswoman Cathy Batton said detectives will investigate any possible connections between other robberies both within and outside of Baltimore County, but have not confirmed at this point that Thursday's robbery was connected with any others.

The PNC Bank inside the Giant in the 8100 block of Loch Raven Boulevard was robbed three times between June 4 and Aug. 16.
