Towson Crime Log: Man chases down robbers and gets back laptop, other items

Baltimore County Police report that a Towson robbery victim gave chase to two women who allegedly took items from his apartment, and ultimately got the items back.

The incident occurred on May 12, in the 1000 block of Dulaney Valley Road, between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m.

According to the police report, two women took laptop, backpack, wallet and checkbook from man's apartment. He gave chase and got the property back.

The suspects then damaged the driver's door of silver Honda Civic while leaving.

Dunkirk Road, 100 block, between 8 p.m. May 11 and 9 a.m. May 12. Two bicycles stolen from unlocked, unattached garage.

Donachie Road, 6900 block, between 5 and 7 p.m. May 9. Sony Playstation 3, Sony Vaio laptop, 42-inch television, seven Playstation 3 games, Social Security card and cash stolen from apartment. Door pried open.

Hopkins Road, 400 block, 8:16 p.m. May 8. Two men stole deflated basketball from unlocked garage.

Acorn Circle, unit block, between 7:35 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. May 7. Water jug containing coins emptied. Coins taken. Apartment entered by unknown means.

York Road, 6400 block, 7:45 a.m. May 7. Man demonstrated in front of county Department of Social Services with banner described in police report as "profane." Man left when told it was private property.

Regester Avenue, 600 block, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 6. Red Specialized bicycle with flower stickers stolen from front porch.

Halstead Road, 1000 block, at 7:10 p.m. May 6. Red 2002 Acura MDX, unknown temporary tag, stolen from location. Owner had left car running.

Falls Road, 6200 block, between 10 p.m. May 6 and 6:30 a.m. May 7. Two Trek mountain bikes stolen from unsecured garage.

Mossway, 6300 block, between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. May 5. Troybilt lawn mower stolen from locked shed.


Quiet Stream Court, unit block, between 12:01 a.m. May 1 and 6:33 p.m. May 12. Coins stolen from washing machine.

Clover Crest Way, 600 block, between 6 a.m. May 1 and 1 p.m. May 12. Cash stolen. Tool used to pry open front door.


East Padonia Road, unit block, 7:30 p.m. May 6. Two men spotted removing three wheels and rims from 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LT and trying to remove five other wheels at Fox Chevrolet. They left scene in silver minivan, which was later stopped and stolen items recovered. John Goldring, 58, and Jerry Cheathem, 58, arrested and charged with grand theft.
