Basket Bingo tonight (Friday) is $12 a ticket, extra $5, to benefit Harford Crime Solvers. To be held at the Bel Air Armory, 37 N. Main St., Bel Air. Parking is nearby. Tickets are available by calling Wendell, 443-807-1399, or Brenda Conjour, 410-273-7332.
A Basket and Vera Bradley bingo is Saturday, also $12 a ticket, $5 extra. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., bingo begins at 7 p.m. Sponsored by Port Deposit Heritage Corp. To be held at the VFW Post 8185 in Port Deposit. Tickets available by calling Anne Gibson, 410-378-3338. Food and drinks available.
Yard sale in Colonial Charlestown Inc. to be held at the Troy House, 343 Market St. on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The American Legion Post 135 will host an adult puppet show by Jake Foreaker on Saturday. The doors at the legion will open a 6 p.m. The cost is $10 per person (no one under 21 is permitted for this show). There will be cash bar at legion prices. Pretzels, chips and dips will be provided. This event benefits the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 135.
Mark your calendars to visit the Perryville Farmer's Market every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. until Oct. 25. The Farmer's Market is at Broad Street and Roundhouse Drive. Local produce, mushrooms, honey, hot and fresh homemade potato chips – made while you wait! – candles and homemade scented soaps are available.
Now that summer is almost over, Harmony Lodge 53 AF & AM will start with its monthly all-you-can-eat breakfasts. The first will be Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. The breakfast is held at the Lodge on Tome Highway in Port Deposit. Breakfast benefits the Lodge scholarship fund.
Calling all crafters, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aberdeen will hold a holiday bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone interested in selling crafts should call Becky at the St. Paul's office, 410-272-3111.
Music and dancing at the American Legion Post 135, 300 Cherry St. with be held tonight from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free admission. For more details, call 410-642-2771.

Roger and I returned from a visit to Saratoga, N.Y., to see our granddaughter, Hannah Ventela, and our daughter- and son-in-law, Ruth and Karl Ventela.
Linda Southall-Barton took her mom, MaryLou Southall, to Ocean City for a weekend of sun, sand, surf and plenty of crabs on the menu.
Jack and Cyndi Miller recently returned from a trip to Ocean City, N.J.
Del and Joyce Tanner enjoyed a week in the Outer Banks. This is the time of year to go, they told me, the kids are back in school and not too many tourists.
Bill and Donna Morgan enjoyed the long Labor Day Weekend in Washington, D.C., taking in the new sights.
Crystal and Fran Leffler recently returned from Rehoboth Beach.

Condolences are sent to the family of Austin Amos, who passed away this past week. Austin was a pillar of the community, serving as mayor and a town commissioner for the town of Perryville. He was a member and past president of the Community Fire Company of Perryville; past president of the Harford-Ceil Fireman's Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Maryland State Fireman's Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Susquehanna Post 135 SAL, the Holly Tree Committee and member of Stephenson Lodge 135 and Susquehanna Lodge 130.
All aboard the Perryville Railroad Museum in the MARC train station. The museum is open on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free. They have a working HO model layout of the Perryville WYE, numerous railroad artifacts on display, railroad history literature available and a photo gallery of the Pensy, B&O Railroad and other historical pictures. Come on down a see them. All aboard.
