Aberdeen pizza driver targeted in unsuccessful robbery attempt

Two people unsuccessfully tried to rob a pizza delivery driver in Aberdeen earlier this week, city police reported.

The driver came up to a residence in the first block of East Bel Air Avenue at 10:05 p.m. and was confronted by two people dressed all in black, Lt. Fred Budnick said Thursday.

They displayed a gun and demanded money, he said.

The driver then threw down the food and ran away, slightly injuring himself in the process, Budnick said.

No money was actually taken in the altercation.

The robber remains at large.
