Crime Log: Cash stolen from nanny's purse in Sparks

The following is compiled from police reports from the Cockeysville Precinct. Our policy is to include descriptions only when there is enough information to make identification possible.


Delbarton Drive, 15800 block, between 8:20 a.m. and 8:22 a.m. July 26. A 33-year-old woman who is employed as a nanny was upstairs when she heard the family dog barking. She went downstairs to the kitchen where she found a man who said he was a friend of the homeowner. The man, who entered the residence through an unlocked garage door, then left and the nanny later discovered cash was missing from her purse. The thief was described as white,heavyset, between 25 and 35 years old, 6-feet tall, and wearing a white T-shirt, dark shorts and white shoes.


Paper Mill Road, 2500 block, between 1 a.m. July 14 and 5:20 p.m. July 28. Eight ratchet straps and four-ton winch stolen from trailer parked on property.
