Good luck getting into The Dizz on Super Bowl Sunday

How difficult will it be to get a dinner reservation in Baltimore on Super Bowl Sunday?

If The Dizz in Remington is any indication, it could be nigh unto impossible.

"We are totally booked," owner Elaine Stevens said Jan. 23.

Stevens said the restaurant and bar had a full house when the Ravens beat the New England Patriots in the American Football League championship game earlier this month.

That night, everyone at the tables made reservations for Feb. 3, when the Ravens play the San Francisco 49ers in the 47th Super Bowl.

And her customers, a superstitious lot, went further.

"They reserved the same tables," Stevens said.

As a result, there's no room at The Dizz, 300 W. 30t St., a popular neighborhood watering hole that promotes itself as "Baltimore in a bar."

"We'll probably seat about 70 people and the bar will be mobbed," Stevens said.

Stevens, who decorated the restaurant so much for Christmastime that it lit up the neighborhood, now is purpling up the restaurant to root for the Ravens. She still will have one holdover from the holidays — her tablecloths — because customers consider them a good luck charm.

"I wanted to change my Christmas tablecloths, but people said don't change anything," Stevens said. "People are so superstitious."
