West Laurel: Actress makes her directing debut

Jocelyn Knazik is a well-known hometown actress and singer. She will now add director to her list of special talents.

Knazik is directing the Laurel Mill Playhouse 2012 Summer Youth Production of "Guys and Dolls." In this fun and energetic musical, the "guys" declare that they will do just about anything for the "dolls" they love.

"Luck Be A Lady" is one of the better-known and loved songs from the show.

Local author Ben Rovik has written a fantasy series, "Mechanized Wizardry." In the books, wizards square off against gas-powered knights in a mounting struggle between the magic of the past and the technology of the future.
