West Laurel: Hop on over to the annual community egg hunt

The West Laurel Easter egg hunt will be held as usual at the West Laurel Community Building on Saturday, March 31. Many generations of West Laurel children have participated in this very special event, which is for ages 2 to 11. It begins at 10 a.m., and children must be on the field ready to go because the hunt begins immediately. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance, and there will be prizes and treats. The West Laurel Easter egg hunt is a well-attended community tradition.

As we all know, spring is here. It even seemed like summer was here for a while. When the clocks were set forward, we all should have replaced smoke alarm batteries. As a special service to our neighborhood seniors, Jason Float, who works with the West Laurel Civic Association, would like to assist you if you need help changing the batteries or replacing your smoke alarm. Seniors that would like some help with their smoke alarms can contact Jason at 301-485-9522 or Jason.float@gmail.com.
