Observant driver helps lead police to car stolen in Laurel

A driver who saw a car theft at a Laurel gas station Sunday, and followed the car, helped Anne Arundel County police find the stolen vehicle and eventually arrest a Laurel man for auto theft.

Police said the report of a stolen automobile came about 1 p.m., leading police to a gas station in the 3600 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road, where the car was being detailed.

Before they arrived, police learned that the car, a white 2005 Nissan, was heading east on Route 32, and was being followed by a driver who had seen the theft. The car was stopped at Bluewater Boulevard and Briar Ridge Lane and police said the Nissan's driver, Travis Lamar Greenfield, 21, of Muirkirk Road, was arrested without incident.
