Laurel Police offer resources to domestic violence victims

Members of the Laurel Police Department will offer an opportunity for victims of domestic violence to receive counseling and other resources at a meeting Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in Partnership Hall, 811 Fifth St.

Organizations offering counseling at the meeting include Community Advocates for Family and Youth, Prince George's Hospital Center and SWAN (Someone Worth Accepting Now).

Representatives from House of Ruth will offer counseling and legal services and representatives from the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office will offer trial preparation assistance.

In addition, officers from the Laurel Police Department will talk with victims regarding any law enforcement concerns.
