Laurel Police go pink in October to raise breast cancer awareness

Members of the Laurel Police Department will sport pink accessories throughout the month of October in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

All around the country, people and organizations participate in the campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer by wearing pink.

Some of the ways Laurel police officers will participate include wearing a pink Laurel Police Department T-shirt underneath their regular dark blue uniform with the top of the T-shirt exposed; displaying a pink ribbon lapel pin just above their name tag on their uniform; attaching a pink magnetized ribbon with the LPD emblem on their police cruiser; tying a pink ribbon onto antennas on their police cruiser; and wearing a pink officer's badge.
