Laurel Police arrest 4 teens after robbery and assault

Four juveniles were arrested and charged as adults by Laurel Police after a robbery June 16 that included using a knife to cut the victim's pants pockets and take his wallet.

Laurel Police responded to the 9100 block of Scott Adams Court, off Bowie Road, June 16 around 3 p.m. for a report of a robbery. The victim told police that four males pushed him to the ground and one kicked him multiple times. The victim said that one of the attackers had a knife and demanded the victim's wallet, then used the knife to cut the victim's pants pocket and take the wallet, and punched him in the face multiple times.

Laurel Police stopped four males in the 8600 block of Cherry Lane that matched the description provided by the victim and arrested Roy Andrew Peters Jr., 17, of the 800 block of Karen Court; Ty Remy Roberson, 16, of the 15000 block of Millbrook Lane; Preston Haythe, 16, of the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, in Northeast Washington; and Kiare Antonio Ford, 16, of the 15000 block of Millbrook Lane. All four juveniles were charged as adults with armed robbery, first degree assault and second degree assault and were being held on bond.

The victim had two jaw fractures and multiple lacerations as a result of the robbery, police said.
