Diane Johnston couldn't be more enthusiastic about the Weight Watchers program at the latest Weight Watchers store in the Enchanted Forest Shopping Center. Diane, who has lived in Howard County for more than four decades was thrilled with the response to the recent housewarming and welcome party at the new location in Ellicott City which was held on May 5.
Johnston is a part time worker at the location, 10040 Baltimore National Pike, Suite 1200. Johnston wants folks in the area to be aware of this new location which is so handy for people in the western end of Howard County. Make sure and say hello to neighbor Diane if you should visit.
The West Friendship PTA surely knows how to show their appreciation to the faculty and staff of our local elementary. Last week teachers and staff were treated to a week's worth of culinary treats compliments of the PTA and a whole lot of busy kitchen elves.
Staff Appreciation came in the form of yummy daily surprises from "Muffins for our Marvelous Teachers" provided by the fifth grade, the second graders contribution of "Tacos in a Bag for our Tremendously Terrific Teachers," the first-graders healthy supply of "Wellness for our Wonderful Teachers", the third graders treat of "Fast Food Chick-fil-A for our Fabulous Teachers and the kindergarten classes contribution of "Teacher Tiger Tickets Goodie Bag Treats". As in all things like this, it couldn't happen without the tremendous behind the scenes support of the adults on the PTA Hospitality Committee. Well done.
The first West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary yard sale on April 28 was a great success. Chilly morning temperatures and high breezes forced the sale inside, but didn't daunt buyers one bit. Great success for our wonderful Volunteer Station 3.
