Sue Hess, the parent of a Glenelg High School student, along with organizer Carol Allen, can't say enough about the upcoming PTA fundraiser for the after-prom event.
"You wouldn't believe the prizes," said Hess in describing the Bingo Bag-a-Palooza, which features designer Coach handbags, Pandora bracelets, Vera Bradley items, spa packages and more.
The bingo fun is set for Jan. 24 at Glenelg High School. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. In addition to the bingo games, food and snacks will also be available for purchase.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. If you would like to order tickets in advance, email Jane Synk at email@example.com.
West Friendship Elementary families will glide through the weekend in anticipation of the annual Family Skate Party on Jan. 20.
This annual event is one in which students see their teachers skating like Olympians and watch their parents nimbly glissade. The slippin' and slidin' action is at the Odenton Skate Center.
Just when the last cookie crumbs and morsels of holiday chocolates have been swept away comes news of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church monthly dinner. "It's Italian night," according to Lynne Hall Quinn, who is the voice behind all the news of St. Andrew's events.
Families are invited to join fellow diners at St. Andrew's on Jan. 24, 6-8 p.m., for a delicious Italian dinner prepared by the chef at Glenwood's poplar Smokin' Hot Grille. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the youth group pilgrimage trip.
Cost of the dinner is $9 for an individual or $30 for the entire family. St. Andrew's is at 2892 Route 97 between Union Chapel Road and the Post Office. Questions? Call Lynne Quinn at 410-292-8202.
