30-second timeout with ... Tola Morakinyo, Wilde Lake 170-pound wrestler

Wilde Lake senior Tola Morakinyo (170) just completed an outstanding wrestling season, winning county and regional titles. He placed second at last weekend's state tournament, losing a close decision to Bel Air's William Holder-Moore, the wrestler he defeated in the regional finals.

Morakinyo finished the season 39-1.

He has also won a county championship in outdoor track in the pole vault, and was a first team all-county defensive end in football.

Morakinyo took a 30-second timeout with us while preparing for the county wrestling tournament a few weeks ago.

TV show I can't miss

I don't really watch TV much.

Favorite movie:

Batman, The Dark Knight

Prematch warm-up song:

I actually haven't been listening to music this year, but anything to get you pumped up.

(Coach Jeff Starnes): That Katy Perry song.

Hobby I have or had in the past that would surprise people:

I used to really like computer games. I like video games too. First person shooters.

Top athletic role model:

Ed Ruth is awesome. Penn State NCAA champion, he's just an amazing athlete.

Hardest class I've ever taken:

Stats AP. I took it last year and it was just killing me.

When I grow up I want to be a:

Be a (Army) Ranger, or high up in the military so I can travel a lot. That's the main thing.
