Glenelg baseball comes up empty at Arundel

Glenelg fell behind early at Arundel on Saturday morning, allowing three runs in the bottom of the first, and never recovered, losing 12-2 in six innings.

The Gladiators battled back in the third, as Jacob Liebno (double) nearly scored the tying run on a base hit by Luke Brister, but was thrown out at the plate.

One inning later, Arundel blew the lid off of the game with six runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Glenelg committed four errors, leading to seven unearned runs.

The Scorpions took advantage of five Meade errors to win, 7-3.

Long Reach 4, Paint Branch 2

J.D. Huffman allowed only one run in 4 2/3 innings against Paint Branch, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Jake Siegleman came on in relief to earn the save, and Chris Stanko drove in a run.
