Laurel High's winning coach and Delaney's 'leprechaun' [Pictures]

Looking back at Laurel in the late 1960s, early 1970s, two people stand out as part of the city's history. One was Laurel High School football coach Ron Ladue, who coached his team to winning seasons for six years, during a time of racial unrest in the county schools. Another is Sammy Ross, a former vaudeville performer who in 1970 was hired as Johnny O'Pal, the resident "leprechaun" at Delaney's Irish Pizza Pub in South Laurel. Read the story here.
