The Baltimore Ravens hosted the team's inaugural Ravens Football Camp at McDaniel College on June 16 for more than 400 Carroll County youth and high school athletes.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and members of his coaching staff took part in the event, with Harbaugh offering a morning pep talk.
Ravens coaches assisted campers in football drills, and then Ravens director of player development Harry Swayne spoke to the student-athletes about life skills— including staying motivated and successful off the gridiron.
The camp also included youth football games and a 7-on-7 tournament for all high school athletes. The camp was cosponsored by Under Armour, which provided T-shirts.
The camp was the first such event at McDaniel since the Ravens announced that the team would no longer hold its summer training camp at the Westminster campus. At the time, team officials said they would work to retain tied to Westminster and the greater Carroll County community.
