Stretch of River Road in western Catonsville to be repaved by July 1

A start date has not been scheduled, but Baltimore County plans to have an 1,800-foot section of River Road in western Catonsville repaved by July 1.

Baltimore County Department of Public Works spokesman David Fidler said the one-day project will resurface the pavement that runs along the Patapsco River between 45 and 65 River Road.

The construction will be nearly equidistant from the road's intersections with Frederick and Old Thistle roads.

The start date of the project, which will cost an estimated $20,000, remains unclear because the county has a limited number of road resurfacing machines, Fidler said Thursday.

That area of River Road has had perennial flooding problems, Fidler said.
