Police identify man caught trying to break into Catonsville area residence

Baltimore County Police are asking for information on the whereabouts of Danny Evans, of the 5200 block of Fredcrest Road in Baltimore.

Police have charged Evans, 48, with attempted burglary after a Jan. 2 incident in which a man was caught trying to break into a Catonsville area residence.

The incident took place in the 600 block of North Bend Road, a short distance from Fredcrest Road and the city-county border.

Police said a North Bend Road resident arrived home at approximately 1 p.m. on Jan. 2 and found a man attempting to break into the front door of his home. 

The resident confronted the man, who ran away, according to police.

The homeowner was able to photograph the man with his cell phone.
