Rec council shed at Catonsville Middle School twice the target of vandals

The following is compiled from local police reports.

Alan Drive, 4300 block, 12:54 p.m., Oct. 16. Man approached woman in front of an apartment building and stole her purse and wallet.

Edmondson Avenue, 2300 block, between 6 p.m., Oct. 15 and 8:15 a.m., Oct. 16. Dead bolt lock tampered with and top lock partially detached from Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks shed at Catonsville Middle School. No entry gained.

Edmondson Avenue, 1400 block, between 7 p.m., Oct. 14 and 1 p.m., Oct. 15. Bicycle stolen from front porch of residence. Bicycle recovered on 400 block of Frederick Road.

Kenwood Avenue, 300 block, between 8 a.m., Oct. 12 and 7 p.m., Oct. 14. Locked door inside residence forced open. DVD player, laptop, iPod and jewelry stolen from one apartment and jewelry stolen from another apartment.

Edmondson Avenue, 2300 block, between 8 p.m., Oct. 11 and 5 p.m., Oct. 13. Locks and door frames of to sheds belonging to Baltimore County Recreation and Parks broken at Catonsville Middle School. Seventeen flag poles removed from shed and strewn across the field. Other shed had pry marks on door frame and frame's pins were removed

Frederick Road, 400 block, between 11:45 a.m., Oct. 11 and 9:15 a.m., Oct. 12. Window at office of Dr. Edmund Tkaczuk pried open. Nothing stolen.

Frederick Road, 400 block, between 5 p.m., Oct. 11 and 9 a.m., Oct. 12. Money stolen from Comfort Care Medical.

Frederick Road, 400 block, between 8:10 p.m., Oct. 11 and 8:30 a.m., Oct. 12. Front window pried open of Step Well Podiatry. Three laptops, a camera and money stolen.

Frederick Road, 400 block, between 6:30 p.m., Oct. 11 and 7:46 a.m., Oct. 12. Television, medicine and money stolen from doctors' office.

Frederick Road, 600 block, between 6 p.m., Oct. 11 and 6:53 a.m., Oct. 12. Cage surrounding window and window pried open at Catonsville Elementary School.

Kenwood Avenue, Unit block, 8:40 a.m.-5:15 p.m., Oct. 11. Screen of a residence's side window removed. Television, two laptops and a camera stolen.

Baltimore National Pike, 5600 block, 11:54 p.m., Oct. 10. Man entered Safeway grocery store, hid behind display shelves and put various soap products in a draw-string bag he had hidden in his pants. He put the draw-string bag on his back and went to a register with other items he picked up. He told cashier he didn't have money to pay for the products, left them at the register and walked toward the exit. When the store's loss prevention agent confronted the man, he showed a handgun in his waist band and left store.

North Beaumont Avenue, 2000 block, 11:46 a.m., Oct. 10. Man used sledgehammer to break padlock and two door knobs on shed doors. When confronted by a neighbor, the man fled on foot. Nothing stolen.
