Local students earn awards, named to dean's lists

Bryanna London, of Perry Hall, has been named to the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Ga. for fall quarter 2011.

Rose Kane, of Baltimore, a Junior at Gettysburg College, Pa., received the Samuel P. Weaver Prize at the college's Fall Honors Day ceremonies.

Kaity Handley, from Baltimore, a senior at University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Del., was a field tech in Dr. Hough Goldstein's lab this past summer for an internship and also went to Hawaii for a Bio-control Symposium/conference.

Amanda Grynovicki, daughter of Dr. Jock and Dorothy Grynovicki, of Perry Hall, was recently inducted into the Lambda Eta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau international honor society of nursing at Salisbury University. Grynovicki is a senior majoring in nursing and a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and National Student Nurses Association. She graduated from Mercy High School, in Baltimore, in 2008.
