Atholton High holds 'Empty Bowls' fundraiser for Grassroots

The National Art Society at Atholton High School, in Columbia, is holding an Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center on Tuesday, April 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria.

Atholton is located next door to Grassroots, Howard County’s only 24-hour crisis and homeless center. The fundraising event includes dinner and ceramic bowls made by Atholton students. Admission is $10, which includes a dinner of soup and bread and a handmade ceramic bowl.

No reservations are necessary for the event, and tickets are available at the door. For more information, call 410-313-7065.
