Driver sought in Lansdowne hit and run of 14-year-old

Baltimore County police have asked for the public's help in identifying the driver of the vehicle that struck and severely injured a 14-year-old girl at 9:26 p.m. Wednesday in Lansdowne.

According to a release from the police, a green GMC sport utility vehicle struck the girl as she crossed Washington Boulevard north of Commerce Drive to get to a bus stop.

The girl sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the release stated.

The SUV traveled northbound on Washington Boulevard and did not stop after striking the girl, according to the release.

As a result of the crash, the vehicle may have sustained a broken right headlight and damage to the gray plastic trim surrounding the headlight and turn signal, the release stated.

The police ask for anyone with information about the incident or who has seen a vehicle matching the above description to call 401-307-2020.
