Arbutus volunteers rush victim to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Trauma Center

Among the 84 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received Jan. 1-8 were the following:

Linden Avenue, 1200 block, 1:37 p.m. Jan. 7. Crews responded to the report of a person drowning in Arbutus. One seriously injured person taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Trauma Center.

Shadynook Avenue, unit block, 2:22 p.m. Jan. 6. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Catonsville and extinguished a chimney fire.

Maiden Choice Lane, 1000 block, 4:18 p.m. Jan. 5. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident in Arbutus and found property damage but no injuries.

North Avenue, 1200 block, 7:21 a.m. Jan. 3. Crews responded to the report of a person injured in a fall in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.

Rolling Road at Metropolitan Boulevard, 6:08 a.m. Jan. 3. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
