Arbutus crime log: Catalytic converters stolen from car repair shop

The following is compiled from local police reports.

Washington Boulevard, 5000 block, between Oct. 6, midnight, and Oct. 7, 12:30 p.m. Ten drills and eight iHome units taken from trucks in fenced parking lot at Estes Express Lines. Several boxes of merchandise found outside fence.

Oregon Avenue, 5600 block, between Oct. 5, 3 p.m., and Oct. 7, 8:30 a.m. Power table saw and power drill stolen from unlocked shed. Objects recovered in nearby alley.

Bluejay Court, unit block, Oct. 5, between 11 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. Two televisions stolen from residence.

Alma Avenue, 2300 block, Oct. 5, 1:58 a.m. Lansdowne Elementary School broken into and laptop stolen. Laptop recovered.

Gable Avenue, 2300 block, Oct. 4, 11:40 p.m. Five men robbed two men of cell phone, wallet and cash at gunpoint.

Southwestern Boulevard, 5500 block, between Oct. 3, 5 p.m., and Oct. 4, 7 a.m. Four catalytic converters stolen from vehicles at Southwestern Car Care.

Leeds Avenue, 900 block, between Oct. 2, 10:45 p.m. and Oct. 3, 11:30 a.m. Two bikes and chainsaw stolen from unlocked shed.

Fourth Avenue, 300 block, Oct. 2, between 7 and 9 a.m. Two shotguns stolen from residence. Entry gained through side window.

Courtney Road, 900 block, Oct. 1, between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. Person on roof of St. Stephen Lutheran Church threw an object to the ground which exploded. Bomb squad responded to investigate. No injuries or arrests.

Fifth Avenue, 700 block, Sept. 30, 10:10 p.m. Man seen walking into unlocked residence arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary.
