Baltimore Highland: Church bids farewell to pastor

Members of Christ United Methodist Church were saddened to learn that Pastor Sheridan Almond has been transferred from their church at 2833 Florida Ave.

Parishioners have appreciated her dedicated service and she will be missed.

A farewell luncheon in her honor is scheduled for after the June 17 worship at 9 a.m.

Pastor Steve Keller will assume leadership duties in July.

• The church needs a volunteer to organize food preparation on the fifth Saturday of the month, four times a year, for Christ Deaf Church in Arbutus. The meal is delivered at 12:30 p.m., then served from 1 to 2 p.m.

Speaking as someone who assists with this rewarding ministry, please consider getting involved. The service is very much valued by the people who attend.
