Two masked gunmen bind employees, rob Lisbon pharmacy

Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of two employees, who were bound and placed in the bathroom, at a Lisbon pharmacy last week.

Anthony Chester Sering, 27, of Dundalk, and Anthony Alascio, 27, of Halethorpe, were each charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, carjacking, reckless endangerment and gun charges, according to a Howard County Police news release.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, two men wearing masks entered Med One Pharmacy, located in the 700 block of Lisbon Center Drive, and approached the counter.

Both men, one of whom had a gun, confronted the two pharmacy employees and demanded drugs; the employees complied.

One of the men then duct taped the wrists of one employee and zip tied the hands and feet of the other.

Both employees were taken to the bathroom and told to lay on the floor, police said.

The two men the fled the pharmacy in a Honda Civic, which belonged to one of the employees, police said. Police said the two men stole drugs, money from the cash box and a cell phone belonging to one of the employees.

Moments later, a customer entered the pharmacy, discovered the two employees in the bathroom and called 911.

Following the robbery, the two men drove to a nearby neighborhood where they swapped the stolen vehicle with their own.

An alert neighbor witnessing the swap contacted police and provided descriptions of the men and the license plate numbers of the two vehicles.

Police were able to apprehend the two men after a brief pursuit. Drugs, the employee's cell phone and duct tape were recovered from the vehicle.

Both Sering and Alascio are being held at Howard County Detention Center without bond, police said.
