Baltimore man dies in crash on Route 40 near Aberdeen

A Baltimore man died Saturday afternoon in a crash on Route 40 near Aberdeen that shut down part of the highway for about three hours.

At about 12:40 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to Route 40 at Mitchell Lane for a single vehicle crash.

Troopers said a 1992 black Acura Integra, driven by Joseph Rohrbaugh, 25, of Baltimore, was traveling west on Route 40 approaching Mitchell Lane.   The driver lost control, slid sideways and struck a guardrail abutment.  Rohrbaugh was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Route 40 between Route 543 and Spesutia Road was closed for approximately three hours while troopers investigated the collision.   

No further information was available.
