Baltimore County man held without bail in Abingdon drug robbery

A Baltimore County man was ordered held without bail last week after being arrested for a December armed robbery in Abingdon.

Arturo Nelson II, 25, of the 2800 block of Robern Avenue in Parkville, was charged in a Dec. 12 incident in which Maryland State Police troopers responded to the 3400 block of Emmorton Road for a robbery.

A 31-year-old man told them he was picked up by Nelson and an unknown woman that night, according to the statement of charges.

Although there was no mention of a gun, the victim felt threatened and said Nelson appeared to be holding a gun in his sweatshirt pockets, according to the statement of charges.

The victim then got out of the vehicle, which drove off.

Nelson was charged with armed robbery, robbery, possessing a drug other than marijuana, theft below $100 and second-degree assault.
