Harford library still considering Sunday hours

The Harford County Public Library administration is still working to finalize the third branch that will have Sunday hours reinstated later this year.

The branch is expected to be announced at the library's board of trustees meeting Thursday evening, executive secretary Lee Crush said Monday.

The library administration said in May at least three branches would have Sunday hours reinstated this fall, after the Harford County Council passed a budget amendment approving funding for the longer hours.

Two of the branches are most likely going to be Bel Air and Abingdon, library officials said at time.

County council members said they also hoped to see one branch in the Route 40 corridor get Sunday hours.
