Citizens Care thankful for help

Many thanks to the facility staff and management for their dedication and tireless efforts during the recent evacuation and repopulation of the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Thanks to the families of our residents and staff for their patience and assistance during this emergency event. Our thanks also go to the many volunteers who helped throughout. We also want to thank our residents for complying with the mandatory evacuation order.

The response from the community volunteer fire companies to help the 165 residents of the Care Center was truly extraordinary. Special thanks go to Jeremy Mothershed and the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps for being on site and coordinating the evacuation transportation; Lisa Swank, Harford County emergency preparedness coordinator, for being on site and assisting with locating receiving facilities; Jason Skidmore of Hart to Heart ambulance, for being on site and assisting with the evacuation as well as the return of our residents who were in Eastern Shore facilities; and Seasons Hospice for having staff on site and assisting with the relocation of their patients.
