IronBirds lose 6-2 in Friday matchup with Lowell

The Aberdeen IronBirds lost their Friday-night road engagement with the Lowell Spinners, 6-2.

The loss put Aberdeen at 24-33 for the season.

The game was tied, 2-2, heading into the bottom of the fifth when the hosts scored four times.

Aberdeen's Torsten Boss cracked his fifth homer of the season and scored twice, while Will Howard went 1-for-3 with one RBI in the loss.

Taking the loss was IronBirds reliever Bennett Parry (0-1), who allowed four earned runs on eight hits, struck out three and surrendered one walk over 4-1/3 innings.
