Fallston highlights golf play with tri-match win

Golfers returned to the course Tuesday in area matches, and Fallston highlighted the action by winning a three-team match at Geneva Farm Golf Course.

The Cougars scored 213 to narrowly defeat host North Harford, 216. C. Milton Wright was third with 239.

Zach Billings shot 40 to lead the Cougars, while Dylan Wolf shot 41. The Cougars other contributors were JD Appel, 43; Connor Van Scyoc, 44; and Lucas Crofton, 45.

Sam VanValkenberg of North Harford led all scorers with 39, while teammates Morgan Wirtz and Austin Wilcox each shot 42. North Harford's other scorers were Ian Gibbons, 45, and Josh Nagengast, 48.

CMW was led by Ian Moore's 43 and Matt Smith's 44. Rounding out the Mustangs scoring were Bruce Hoffman, 49; Carter Poulsen, 50; and Shawn Wierbowski, 53.

Bo Manor beats Aberdeen

At Ruggles Golf Course, host Aberdeen got a match best score of 42 from Mitchell Hardin, but it wasn't enough to beat Bo Manor, which won, 247-254. Havre de Grace also participated, but with just two golfers, doesn't qualify for a team score.

Adding to Aberdeen's scoring were David Fulp, 51; Emily Byers, 51; Max Craig, 54; and Charles Hash, 56.

Hunter Tollinger and Peyton Browning each shot 47 to lead Bo Manor.

Havre de Grace players were Evan Kelly, 57, and Rhys Hockenberry, 67.

Panthers top Tech

Perryville narrowly defeated Harford Tech in a four-school match that also included Joppatowne and Patterson Mill at Exton Golf Course in Edgewood. Perryville registered 230 strokes to Tech's season low of 234.

Low medalist for the match was Tech's Mason Paradiso with a 40. Also contributing to the scoring for Tech were Patrick Coward, Connor Milanicz, Chris Stallings and Nick Gardner.
