Bel Air wins Chesapeake golf tourney; Patterson Mill, North Harford in top 3

The Bel Air Bobcats golf squad won Tuesday afternoon's Chesapeake Division Tournament at Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace, carding a combined 218 to knock off six other teams.

North Harford was second, finishing at 234 strokes, while Patterson Mill rounded out the top three with a 242. C. Milton Wright grabbed fourth with a 248. Rising Sun was one behind with a 249, while Fallston and Perryville tied at fifth with scores of 262. North East was last at 268 strokes.

The lowest score of the competition came from Bel Air's Matt Hottman, who finished nine holes in 40 strokes. The low scoring female at the tournament was North Harford's Morgan Wirtz, who carded a 44.

Bel Air's Sam Foss finished with a 43, teammate Nick Loiodice posted a 44 and Tyler Newton helped the Bobcats with a 45. Bill Dearth finished with a score of 46.

Patterson Mill's low score was carded by Eric Langrehr, who had a 43.

CMW's Ricky Sheeler notched a score of 44 to lead the Mustangs.

Tyler Stinar and Nick Kress of North Harford had scores of 45 and 46, respectively.
