The Bel Air golf team continued its string of impressive results on Thursday afternoon, shooting a combined 198 at Furnace Bay Golf Course to beat Harford Tech and Perryville.
Harford Tech posted a combined 234 to finish second, and Perryville came in at third with a 240.
Matt Hottman led the Bobcats, shooting a 35, just one under par for nine holes at the Perryville course. Nick Loiodice and Tyler Newton both shot a 39 for Bel Air, while Bill Dearth was close behind with a nine-hole score of 40. Bel Air's Cody Smith shot a 45.
Noah Davis was Harford Tech's low scorer, carding a 42.
Mustangs top Aberdeen, Bo Manor
Playing a Thursday match at Back Creek Golf Club on Thursday, the C. Milton Wright Mustangs came through with a combined score of 210 to knock Aberdeen and Bo Manor.
Aberdeen finished third with a score of 268.
Ricky Scheeler and Josh Cobo were CMW's low scorers, with each carding a 39 for nine holes. Matt Skrocki posted a 42 for the Mustangs, while Quentin Cummings and Shawn Wierzbowski each came in with a score of 45. Emily Baker had a score of 54 in the victory.
Aberdeen's best score came from Bryan Ensor, who carded a 45.
North Harford ties for first
Competing with three other teams at Geneva Farm on Thursday, the North Harford Hawks carded a combined 197 to tie for first place with Elkton. Taking third was Joppatowne, which shot a 229, while Patterson Mill took fourth with a 240.
North Harford's Shane Munchel shot a 47 to lead his team, while Greg Daffron carded a 48. Logan Smith and Trevor Smith both shot a 51 in the victory.
Zach Dietz led the Joppatowne side, shooting a 48.
